Samhain

Samhain is an old Celtic (Gaelic) festival that marks the end of the year’s harvest season and the beginning of winter. Today, it is commonly celebrated from 31 October to 1 November, as the Celtic day began and ended at sunset. Samhain is halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice.
